Michael Zalar - Prospective Staff - Westshore FCA Area Director

Michael joins the FCA team after a distinguished career as a high school teacher, coach, principal, superintendent and college professor in various schools across northern Ohio. He was a successful multi–sport athlete and letter winner in high school and college and continues to enjoy participating in recreational sport activities today. Michael has completed certificate programs in biblical studies, discipleship, and spiritual direction in preparation for ministry leadership. He recently graduated from the LEAD spiritual formation program which is designed to promote living life on mission for the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Michael is responsible for growing FCA by prayer and staffing the area through Ministry, Talent, Donor, and Board Advancement. His role is to engage, equip, and empower our staff, local Board, and donors in the Westshore Region to fulfill the FCA mission “to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.” Michael works with staff and volunteers to fund and steward the finances of the ministry.

Michael and his beautiful wife Donna have five grown children and eight grandchildren. They make their home in Olmsted Township, Ohio.
