Bobbyjon Bauman
Bobbyjon Bauman grew up on a sheep farm in Mineral Point WI (population 2100) and graduated from Mineral Point HS in 1986. He is a graduate of University of Wisconsin Whitewater with a BA in Education in 1990 & Reformed Theological Seminary Master of Divinity Degree in 1995. He taught school in the inner city of Houston, TX for two years and has been working in youth ministry for the last 30 years, beginning in New Albany, MS (5 years), Madison WI (14 years) and Steubenville & Wintersville, Ohio (11 years).
He is the president and founder of the Ohio Valley Youth Network which is a 501(c)3 organization in Steubenville, OH and is also an FCA regional chaplain and has started 16 area FCA Bible Clubs which have around 400 students studying the Bible on a weekly basis before school. He is also the founder and director of the Sycamore Youth & Community Center which services over 500 K-12 students in Steubenville each week with 60 after school programs and oversees a staff of 80 volunteers. He also has volunteered to teach for the last four years at SHS during their Maymester.
He was the winner of the 2017 Village Impact Award from the L.A.W.S. Movement and was named one of the 2017 “Community Stars” by the Herald Star Newspaper, the 2018 Child Advocate of the Year winner from “A Caring Place” and was chosen to be a recipient of the JaQuan Lavendar Foundation Community Champion Gold Gala Award in 2023. He lives in Wintersville, OH with his wife Pamela and they have 10 children.
