2019 Hall of Fame Area FCA Banquet
This year's keynote speaker, Todd Gongwer giving his address to all in attendance.
On May 16, over one hundred people gathered at Kent State, Stark Campus to celebrate God’s work through FCA in the past year. At the banquet, Pastor Chuck Davis of Orrville was presented the Sue Ramsey Coach of the Year Award and Jim Kurzen of Tuslaw was presented the FCA Huddle Leader of the Year Award. Senior students Sage Peters of Tusky Valley and David Harbaugh of Lake were presented the Renee Powell Award of Excellence and the Don Cockroft Award of Excellence, respectively. Each award recipient spoke on how Jesus has used FCA to impact their lives. Congratulations to our award winners this year!
Those in attendance were fortunate to be joined by guest speaker, Todd Gongwer, author of Lead, for God’s Sake!. Todd weaved his testimony into a message of conviction in God’s calling, encouraging the audience to lead boldly in God’s image. His message aptly coincided with a celebration of Hannah Calhoun’s leadership, whose decision to step away from FCA to focus on raising her three children was announced. Thank you to all who attended, supported, and prayed for the banquet. Thank you to our major sponsors this year: Millwood Inc., Custer Products, ESPN 990, Mount Union, and the Home Appliance Company. It was a great night celebrating all the Lord has done through this amazing ministry!
